#OutfitAugust Day 28.. Spots, Spots and a few More Spotsx

I bought this wonderful dress a couple of years ago and l have to say it's been stuck at the back of the wardrobe.. so out it came today...

This Rosa Rosa dress is a Timeless classic 1940's vintage inspired Polka Dot Tea dress.with a soft fitted elastic waist, button to waist shirt style bodice " Land Girl " style , button though to waist , softly flared A line skirt, Classic short sleeves and  tie belt... I teamed it up with my little red Mary Jane's and a Next Navy Cardi.. just love the look and felt happy in it ..

As soon as l saw this Dress on the BooHoo website l fell in love with it... just so colourful and l just adore daisies... I've teamed it up with leggings and my bow Loafers from Dorothy Perkins..

I tend to read random books.. l don't particularly have an author that l favour, and over the years l have read many different kinds of books... years ago l read the whole series of books my Lena Kenedy, all about life in the East End of London as that is where all my family came form and l used to lose myself in the stories and could imagine my grandma living through the book..

but at present my Reading pile consists of 

1... Two"IF" books which l love they make you think and smile...

2...The Vintage Teacup Club.. by Vanessa Greene..

3... The Things l want my daughters to know.. by Elizabeth Noble.. ( this book has been an emotional roller coaster for me to read as l have a Journal my Mum wrote for me when she was dying last year and l still can not read all the letters she has written to me in it..) 

4... Birthday Girls... Annabel Giles..

OutfitAugust Day 26..Navy with a splash of Red...

Todays outfit really is me coming out of my comfort zone, l love it though... l have to say.. normally l wear tops that a quite loose rather than show off my curves but having been reading through others bloggers posts and seeing their pictures it has given me confidence in trying new things...

 Ponte Top was from Dorothy Perkins a few months ago... Navy Jeggings from Peacocks,  l just adore these shoes l got from Ebay .. and then we have my bootfair bargain Poppy handbag.. to complete the outfit.

Bank Holiday Outing...

On this wet and very grey Bank Holiday Monday, it was a bit of a spur of the moment outing.. off to the American Dinner Near Ashford Kent.. with Mr Happy, Mandy, (his sister)  and Colin (brother in law)...

 l had never been before but the others all had, l loved the 1940's feel to the place, but l have to say the food was nice but  mmmm not great, A lovely afternoon out anyway.

A Day in my Life....

Well it's Saturday so Mr Happy and I are both off work... quality time together ... first we enjoyed brunch out after a lazy lie in...

Then off to watch Dover Athletic play football, lots of singing and shouting...

Dover won 2-1 ... happy fans 

 Home for some gardening and found my wee friend... and then cut down the Pampas Grass... my first time using the hedge cutter love it ... 

 and lastly sitting and watching the sun go down and the most beautiful sky  until it got dark ... 

That was my day..............

#OutfitAugust Day 23...Its Arrived... Poppy Dress..

This morning this gorgeous dress arrived... l had won it on Ebay... and was so excited about trying it so l did straight away... it's from a company called K&D l have another a dress from them and find them a perfect fit and this one was no a disappointment at all... in fact l love it and l love the way l look in it and feel confident doing so... and l have to say that doesn't happen very often..

I teamed it up with a little black Bolero from Planet and Heels from F&F and a tiny little handbag that l had picked up at a Charity shop and a Gorgeous white petticoat....

Today was another here there and everywhere day.. so l opted for my navy blue skinny jeans  from Dorothy Perkins, Navy short Cardi from Next and this lovely Camisole top from Peacocks.. and of course my faithful Red Mary Janes from Next...

But today l didn't have anyone to take any photos so we have bits and pieces photos :-)...

Today l bought a Poppy..

A friend suggested l buy one of the remembrance Poppies from The Tower of London.. as she knew it was my Mum's favourite flower...so today l did l brought one in her memory .. feeling emotional but so pleased xx

50 things to do before l'm 50... No'6 Completed xx

Number six has now been completed... "Carve my name on a Tree"... a lovely friend of ours had read my list and let me carve my name on one of the trees in her garden... 

Now for some more to tick off,

I had a wonderful surprise this morning l came home to find a little bag hanging on my front door handle, and in it was blue nail varnish but no note to say who it was from, l have now found out though :-) a lovely friend ... so that will be 15 completed as well...

But which will it be.. maybe l'll just try all of them :-) 

I am so blessed that so many of my family and friends have joined in to help me complete my list

I have seen advertised that Boohoo had a great choice of plus size clothes... so l thought well it it would be rude not to have a little look... and then of course l fell in love with so many things  but l was good and only bought three well this time anyway ....

Josie Daisy Cap Sleeve Swing Dress... 

great fitting, quality material and l love the way the dress hangs just right..
